Summary: The Production Controller supports daily production operations by assisting with scheduling, material flow, and communication between departments to ensure that work is completed on time and to quality standards. This is an entry-level role ideal for someone eager to develop their skills in production planning, organization, and process improvement within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Accountabilities:
  • Assist in maintaining daily production schedules and tracking progress.
  • Support material flow to production areas by coordinating with warehouse and purchasing teams.
  • Update production boards, trackers, and huddle boards with current data.
  • Communicate daily with supervisors and leads to address any delays or issues.
  • Assist with monitoring inventory levels and reporting shortages or discrepancies.
  • Support preparation of reports for production metrics such as output, delivery, and quality.
  • Help identify and report opportunities for process improvement.
  • Ensure adherence to company safety and quality standards in all tasks.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge/Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent (some college or technical training preferred).
  • 1+ year experience in manufacturing, production, or a similar environment preferred.
  • Basic computer skills, including familiarity with MS Office; ERP experience a plus.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Commitment to teamwork and continuous improvement.
  • Have reliable attendance, be respectful and responsible at work.
  • Ability to demonstrate basic math skills and the ability to read a tape measure.
  • Experience and understanding of overhead cranes and forklifts and scissor lifts.
