| Essential Functions | 
Summary: The Paint Supervisor leads the paint department in a fast-paced production environment, overseeing all painting operations to ensure safety, efficiency, and top-tier quality. This hands-on leadership role involves managing a team of painters, coordinating workflow, and collaborating across departments to meet production goals. The Paint Supervisor is instrumental in maintaining compliance, driving continuous improvement, and delivering high-performance finishes on industrial and commercial structures. Accountabilities: • Supervise daily operations of the paint department, including scheduling and resource allocation. • Oversee painting tasks using HVLP spray guns and other equipment to meet quality standards. • Lead and mentor team members through training, coaching, and performance evaluations. • Identify and resolve paint defects such as blisters, streaks, and uneven finishes. • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and production timelines. • Approve timecards and manage attendance using the HRIS system. • Administer disciplinary actions and conduct regular performance reviews. • Develop and maintain SOPs for painting and surface preparation processes. • Collaborate with production, quality, and maintenance teams to align departmental goals. • Ensure proper sealing and weatherproofing of structures. • Verify completion of quality checklists throughout the painting process. • Oversee maintenance and cleaning of sprayers and power equipment. • Supervise surface preparation including filing, grinding, sanding, and smoothing. • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. • Report directly to the Production Manager and perform other duties as assigned.  |

Required Knowledge/Experience: • High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training preferred. • Minimum 5 years of industrial/commercial painting experience, including 2 years in a supervisory role. • Proficiency in HVLP spray painting and surface preparation techniques. • Experience in metal fabrication or production environments strongly preferred. • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. • Knowledge of safety protocols and regulatory compliance. • Ability to manage multiple priorities independently. • Physical ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, lift up to 50 lbs, and push/pull up to 100 lbs. • Comfortable working from ladders up to 20 feet. • High attention to detail and commitment to quality.  | 
| Work Environment and Physical Demands | 
| • FLSA executive and professional position paid on an hourly basis; may require workweeks over 40 hours, including weekends or holidays. • Primarily based in a manufacturing environment with exposure to indoor and outdoor conditions. • Mobility: Ability to stand, kneel, stoop, or crouch for 8–10 hours per day. • Manual Dexterity: Frequent use of hands for tools and equipment. • Lifting: Must lift up to 50 lbs and push/pull up to 100 lbs, following OSHA standards. • Visual and Auditory Requirements: Must see and hear well enough to navigate safely and communicate effectively. • Must pass a background check and drug screening.  |
