Job Summary:
The Manufacturing Specialist will be an experienced manufacturing professional with expertise in production processes, improving efficiency, and ensuring high quality standards. Able to interpret manufacturing drawings and welding symbology. Capable of creating work instructions and setting up operation procedures for welding and manufacturing. The Manufacturing Specialist must understand Lean methodologies to analyze, design, and implement process improvements. Committed to continuous improvement and maximizing production performance is a must. Have SolidWorks/design CAD experience to develop tooling and welded fixtures and sheet metal parts.

Lean-Minded Problem Solver – You excel at identifying inefficiencies and implementing Lean manufacturing principles to optimize workflows and reduce waste.
Process-Driven & Detail-Oriented – You have a strong eye for process improvement and ensure that manufacturing operations run smoothly, efficiently, and consistently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ordering tooling or services to optimize manufacturing methods.
- Able to design welding fixtures and welding systems using Solid Works.
- Create work instructions and visual aids from customer documents, standard manufacturing methods or a customized process
- Setting up operation procedures for various manufacturing equipment
- Assessing process capabilities/ set up statistical process controls
- Assessing measurement capabilities as it relates to process improvement projects
- Assing finishing touched to the appearance of components
- Performing assigned product manufacturing and assembly tasks
Qualifications & Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent is desired OR any combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the job duties (required)
- Have reliable attendance, be respectful and responsible at work.
- Lean green belt (Preferred)
- 5-7 years in manufacturing process improvement.
- Ability to solve problems independent of supervision
- Ability to communicate effectively to all levels of the organization
- Ability to travel 30% of the time to Abilene, TX
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to be flexible and adaptable to an evolving manufacturing environment
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized environment, promoting a culture of safety and compliance.
- Ability to work in a heavy manufacturing environment requiring the employee to stand, stoop, kneel, or crouch throughout an 8-to-10-hour day.
- Strength to carry product, equipment, and tools up to 50 pounds and push or pull product up to 100 pounds.
- Ability to work in both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
