Essential Functions

Summary:

The Paint Helper will be responsible for assisting the paint department with various tasks. This position will assist with the preparation, application, and cleanup of commercial paint projects. 

Accountabilities:

Assist with the execution of painting under the supervision of more experienced staff

Perform basic paint skills such as masking, application, scraping, sanding, and cleaning

Make sure each building is sealed and weatherproof

Examine any painted surfaces for defects and help touch up or correct any imperfections as needed

Maintain tools and equipment used while also maintaining a clean workspace

Follow all safety guidelines and regulations, including the proper use of PPE, such as gloves, goggles, masks, and respirators, to ensure a safe working environment

Required Knowledge/ Experience:

High School Diploma or equivalent is desired OR any combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the job duties (required)

Have reliable attendance, be respectful and responsible at work.

Ability to keep your hand and arm steady while moving your arm or while holding your arm and hand in one position

Ability to effectively interact and communicate with individuals at all organizational levels in a professional, respectful manner

Ability to carry product, equipment, and tools up to 50 pounds and push or pull product up to 100 pounds

Ability to work in a heavy manufacturing environment requiring the employee to stoop, kneel, or crouch throughout an 8-to-10-hour day

Prioritize safety when performing tasks and producing a quality product in an efficient and productive manner to meet production schedule

Ability to reason and apply principles of logic to a wide range of factors when monitoring and working on jobs

Strong attention to detail and thoroughness in completing work tasks.

Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized environment, promoting a culture of safety and compliance.

Ability to work in a heavy manufacturing environment requiring the employee to stand, stoop, kneel, or crouch throughout an 8-to-10-hour day.

Strength to carry product, equipment, and tools up to 50 pounds and push or pull product up to 100 pounds.

Ability to work in both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.

Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
